Service Calls

The service call rate is $50.00 per hour. Effective November 1, 2020, the service call fee is $100.00 per hour before 8 AM and after 4 PM, Monday - Friday, as well as weekends and holidays, plus the current IRS mileage rate.

Billable Service Calls
$50.00 + Mileage (current IRS Rate)
  • Turning water on/off for plumbing or remodeling projects
  • Raising a curb stop
  • Meter pit relocations, extensions, or repairs
  • Identification of a customer's leak that is not covered under the WSLPP policy
  • Remote post repair, replacement or relocation
  • Testing a meter for accuracy
  • Wastewater Service Calls due to improper use
  • Wastewater lid replacement or repair
  • Wastewater Structure relocations

Reconnect Fee                                                                                                   $75.00

The reconnect fee is $75.00 to restore water that has been temporarily disconnected. Once operations personnel is scheduled to depart the office, the $75.00 fee is implemented, whether the service is physically disconnected or still active. Effective November 1, 2020, the reconnect fee is $150.00 before 8 AM and after 4 PM, Monday - Friday, as well as weekends and holidays.

Many customers enjoy peace of mind knowing water service has been disconnected and no water loss or property damage will occur during this time frame. The monthly minimum payment is still due during this period.

The fee includes the service call for both the disconnection and reconnection of water.

Customers must notify ILRW at least 24-hours in advance prior to when they would like their disconnection or reconnection to take place AND to schedule an appointment on Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 4 PM with Member Services to avoid an additional charge of $75.00 per occurance above the seasonal winter disconnect/spring reconnect fee.

We appreciate your cooperation on this policy. ILRW realizes that circumstances arise and customers sometimes need to schedule appointments outside of ILRW business hours. Effective November 1, 2020, winter disconnect and spring reconnect appointments can be made before 8 AM and after 4 PM, Monday - Friday, as well as weekends and holidays with an additional $150.00 charge.

It’s the customer’s responsibility to drain water lines and winterize the dwelling.

***Please note that ONLY ILRW personnel are allowed into the meter pits to turn water on and off.***
