Why Sign-up for Rural Water?

It's Safe

Your family and livestock are drinking clean, safe, treated drinking water. We take pride in our efforts to provide a great quality water source and excellent service to protect our customers and the general public. Natural ground water and source water resources in the area are commonly known to have found contaminants including bacteria, nitrates, manganese, and arsenic without proper treatment before entering rural homes and livestock yards. According to local regulatory experts, 9 out of 10 private wells are out of compliance.

ILRW takes measures to monitor our water sources, protect the buffer zone around the sources, and take extra steps to make sure the quality of water leaving the facilities, and traveling through the distribution system will help improve the quality of life to our area.

ILRW also monitors and treats multiple wastewater facilities in the area with communities, collaborating together to ensure the public health and environment are protected.

It's Economical

Rural water prevents the corrosion, rust, plugging, mineral scaling, and buildup or other similar problems of pipes, pumps, waterers, nipples, and other water supply fixtures or equipment that you get with well water.

Saves you from investing in a new well, repairing or deepening an existing well, or adding water treatment equipment for your well water.

Healthier livestock, better production, and less livestock loss.

It's Convenient
Someone else takes care of your water and/or wastewater needs, as well as meeting state and federal regulation requirements. During a power outage or an ice storm you will still have water!

Assures and monitors the water supply capacity sustainability, especially during dry weather.
